Dental Examination Appointments
We recommend regular check-ups to maintain a good daily oral health routine and to provide a preventative approach to dental issues. They allow your dentist to determine if you have any dental problems and advise appropriate treatment options. Leaving problems untreated could potentially make them more difficult to treat in the future.
It is always best to address any issues early, or, if possible, prevent them altogether.
What happens during a dental check-up?
During your first visit, a full health history will be taken to provide us with a broad understanding of your individual needs. Digital photographs, impressions, and digital x-rays may be taken, if required. The dentist will discuss the results and explain any dental issues that may require further care. With all follow up appointments you will be given your medical history to review and confirm for any changes.
After your check-up, your dentist will recommend a date for your next visit. Some people schedule a dental check-up once or twice a year, while others may require more frequent visits. The lower your risk of dental problems, the longer you can wait before your next check-up.
